I am a multi-disciplined designer with over twenty years experience. Initially working in London I emigrated to the Middle East where I spent the majority of my career working as Creative Director for an integrated communications agency. After leading the agency for over a decade I partnered with an former colleague who had established FEEL Brands a few years earlier. In 2015 I repatriated and am now freelancing while embracing the new climate.

Since repatriating in 2015 I have been working on a freelance basis. Though the work isn’t as demanding I still find great reward in the craft of design and production.
FEEL Brands – Creative Director

After spending the majority of my career in an integrated agency, I partnered with a former colleague who had established FEEL Brands a few years earlier. Continuing to work with the same calibre of clients and accounts, here I revived my passion for the industry as the projects were more holistic and brand centric. Both hands-on as a designer and assisting in the management of the office, I helped to build the company’s reputation.
Zed Communications – Creative Director
2000 – 2011
I led the creative team in Zed Communications, an integrated communications agency for over a decade. Working for numerous sectors and serving clients across five offices I helped to build brands and marketing campaigns for many prestigious, multi-million dollar projects. Designing, directing and implementing media across all touchpoints involved, print, web, digital, packaging, marketing, advertising, trade stands, environmental graphics, signage and visual guidelines.

1999 – 2000
Getty Images is renowned for its stock photos, footage, music and editorial images. I was responsible for undertaking creative briefs across brands which included Artville, Eyewire, Getty One, Hulton Getty, PhotoDisc and Stone. Maintaining and developing these brands worldwide involved working in multiple languages. My role also included technical computer support within the Creative Services.
Mitchell Beazley – Designer
1998 – 1999
Mitchell Beazley is a leading UK publishing house known for their quality publications. I was involved in the design of book titles such as Period Details, Derelict to Decorated and Truly Italian. I also worked on the update of old editions and created marketing collateral to promote the publishing house globally.
Cardew Design – Designer
1997 – 1998
This company is well known for whimsical teapots, which are widely marketed in retail outlets such as Whittards of London. My role as designer was multifaceted – I crafted designs onto teapots and mugs using 3D software and I was involved in the marketing communications of the company. This included maintaining and updating their website, designing pitch presentations, newsletters, leaflets and other collateral.
Freelance – Sign Writer & Designer

In order to fund my studies I started sign writing for public houses and small businesses. I also managed to secure work designing marketing collateral, stationery, product catalogues and annual reports.
